Software Developer

Basic Function/Scope
Develop new functionality for existing applications, write new applications as directed and maintain existing applications. Troubleshoot problems and ensure that applications are running according to customer specifications. Participate in discussions to review and revise company operating procedure to ensure all development is accomplished in accordance with such guidelines.

Essential Functions
•Write new code for expanded and enhanced applications functionality.
•Maintain existing code for mature applications.
•Assist in the documentation of all new and existing code.
•Participate in weekly on-call rotation.
•Review of existing applications with senior developer or manager and recommend methods to improve efficiency and functionality.
•Interface with Product Specialists, Project Manager and Quality Assurance personnel so they can keep customers advised of the progress on any ongoing development.
•Perform all programming and development functions with care, skill and diligence in a manner consistent with, or above the current professional standards of the computer services industry.
•Unit testing on all development code.
•Mentor and train junior developers.
•Design with a focus on improving the quality of ARI software applications.
•Performance measures include output, skill level, working with the team, number of deployments which are pulled back, number of incidents or bugs based on your specific programming.
•Support design, code and test reviews as instructed by Software Development Manager.
•Completely self sufficient with strong grasp of technology and ARI business rules.
•Maintain high levels of professionalism remain positive and embrace change.

Job Requirements

Position Qualifications
•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field and 5 years experience in applications or systems programming.
•Expert command of C# programming language.
•Ability to write code according to the standards prescribed by the Software Development Manager or Director.
•Ability to comment code adequately enough to assist in the documentation of new code being developed.
•Experience with Microsoft.NET using Visual Studio, particularly C#, Web Services and WCF.
•Experience with software development and project management methodologies, including Agile.
•Familiarity with SOA and ESB architectures.
•Strong Object Oriented Programming background.
•Full life cycle application development experience.
•Proven analysis, design and programming experience, preferably in a software development organization or Software as a Service environment.
•Proven ability to work independently with responsibility for writing programs and assessing system needs.
•Excellent verbal and written skills.

The Position

We are looking for two passionate and self-motivated sales professionals who will generate sales leads, present our product portfolio, close deals and ensure the long-term success of these customers. Candidates must be energetic and passionate sales leaders, willing to target our Transportation, Entertainment and Hospitality (NFL/MLB/NBA), as well as our Smart City/Parking markets.

Responsibilities

- Conduct a minimum of five sales engagements per week through visits or WebEx
- Perform professional presentations or demonstrations of company product(s)
- Penetrate all targeted accounts and radiate sales from within client base
- Overcome objections of prospective customers
- Emphasize product/service features and benefits, quote prices, discuss terms and prepare sales order forms and/or reports.
- Build and foster a network of referrals to create new opportunities for revenue growth.
- Generate and develop new customer accounts to increase revenue
- Always maintain professionalism, tact, diplomacy and sensitivity to portray the company in a positive manner.
- Actively manage schedule to adequately cover assigned markets in an efficient manner.
- Use marketing data using applicable sales management software tools to maximize sales efficiency and effectiveness
- Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices and other documentation
- Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
- Periodically conduct information-only presentations, such as seminars, trade show demonstrations and other efforts
- Make front-line assessment of market conditions and advise company Account Managers and marketing staff of findings
- Build and maintain ongoing awareness of new products and services, competitor activities and other research

Requirements

- University or college degree in Computer Science, Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- 2 years of direct work experience in an external sales capacity
- Sports marketing, alarm, video, wireless or IoT Platform industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to convert prospects and close deals while maintaining established sales quotas
- Solid experience in opportunity qualification, pre-visit planning, call control, account development, and time and territory management
- Success in qualifying opportunities involving multiple key decision makers
- Strong problem identification and objection resolution skills
- Able to build and maintain lasting relationships with customers
- Exceptional verbal communication and presentation skills
- Excellent listening and writing skills
- Able to perform basic calculations and mathematical figures
- Ability to work individually and as part of a team
- High level of integrity and work ethic
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and/or passport.

Working Conditions

- Frequent travel may be required, both by plane and driving
- Ability to travel to, attend and conduct presentations.
- Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals
- Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs
- Exposure to variable weather conditions is likely
